Mr. and Mrs. Leonardelli

Jordyn and Jacob’s wedding day at Halverson House came with two things we won’t be forgetting anytime soon: a first look we’d never photographed before and quite possibly the hottest day I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. Seriously. The heat was no joke.

Before the ceremony, Jordyn decided to do a first look with both her dad and her soon-to-be father-in-law, something we’d never had the opportunity to photograph before. And judging by the reactions, it’s safe to say neither of them was quite prepared to see her in her dress. There were tears. Lots of them. And that was before we even got to the ceremony.

Despite the absolutely ridiculous temperatures, everyone showed up ready to celebrate. We loved getting to watch guests arrive through the windows as the ceremony space filled up, and once Jordyn and Jacob made things official, the rest of the day was all about enjoying themselves with their favorite people.

Between the emotional vows, some pretty fantastic speeches, and a reception that kept everyone entertained, there was no shortage of things to photograph. And through it all, these two kept things laid-back and fun, even when stepping outside felt like walking directly into an oven.

So here’s to the Leonardellis, their seriously impressive tolerance for Wisconsin summer heat, and a wedding day we’ll be talking about for a while.
