Journey was all for eloping. Eli, on the other hand, had his heart set on a full Wisconsin wedding, reception hall and all. And while we’re certainly fans of running off somewhere beautiful to say “I do,” we’d say giving the groom what he wanted was a pretty safe bet. Because their day? Pretty unimaginably perfect.

Set in La Crosse, Wisconsin, their wedding had all the makings of a classic Midwest celebration, with a little extra personality thrown in. The kind of day where everyone shows up ready to have a good time, the emotions are running high, and there’s no shortage of things happening in front of the camera.

From getting ready and those first few nervous smiles to making it official, celebrating with their wedding party, and eventually filling the dance floor, Journey and Eli got the whole experience. And looking through their gallery, it’s pretty hard to imagine their wedding happening any other way.

So, while an intimate elopement might have been the original plan for one half of this duo, we’re thinking Journey probably isn’t too upset with how things turned out.
