Mr. and Mrs. Metzger
November 10, 2025
Early November in Wisconsin is always a bit of a gamble, but Sarah and Jack lucked out with one of those crisp fall days that makes you want to stay outside just a little longer. Barnwood Events in Madison still had plenty of autumn color hanging around, so we took full advantage with their first look and wedding party portraits before everyone headed inside. Then, because Wisconsin likes to keep things interesting, we wrapped up the night with the season’s first snowfall.
The morning was filled with the kind of excited energy that makes getting ready fun to photograph. Everyone was counting down until Sarah and Jack’s first look, and once they saw each other, you could tell a lot of the nerves disappeared. We wandered the grounds for portraits before gathering the wedding party outside while we still had decent temperatures. It was chilly, but absolutely worth it.
Their ceremony was held indoors, where family and friends packed the room to celebrate before the party officially kicked off. As the night went on, guests grabbed late-night s’mores, caught up with friends, and kept the dance floor busy while snow quietly started falling outside. It was one of those weddings that started with peak fall and somehow ended feeling like winter had arrived overnight. Honestly, a pretty perfect way to kick off November.
